Sunrise February 09, 1950 to Sunset December 16, 2025
With heavy hearts but unwavering faith, the Johnsons announce the peaceful homegoing of our beloved Mother Mrs. Dorcas Johnson, who entered eternal rest on December 16, 2025, in Monrovia, Liberia, after a brief illness.
Although we are heartbroken, we do know that God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand His wisdom, but we simply have to trust His will. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”- Revelation 21:4 (NLT).
Our mom was a devoted Christian whose life reflected humility, service, and unconditional love. She was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin, and a loyal friend to many. Her gentle spirit, steady presence and reassuring smiles left an imprint on every life she touched. We will forever cherish and miss you, DJ.
Our mother is remembered by her husband, Mr. Wilfred D. Johnson Sr, her kids and a host of other relatives and friends.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Pastor Stephen Tarr, Kate Korto Johnson (Joshua), Tracy Nowaih Dahn (Emmett), Othello K. Johnson, Gealey Johnson-Dahnkuan (Nenwon), Wilfred W. Johnson Jr., Alpha Johnson, Jefferson Kwewolo and Joe D. Johnson, her grandchildren: Massa Johnson, Masue Yancy, Charles S. Menjor JR, Hannah Menjor, Othello Ohm Johnson JR, Emmanuel Meantonia, Dorcas Johnson, Othello C. Johnson, Divine Johnson, Liam Dahnkuan, Nevish N.
