Celebration of life:
Fannie A. Quaye, born in Pleebo, Maryland to Mr. Isaac Roland Quaye (Ghanaian Ga-Dangme tribe) and Mrs Mary Elizabeth Cummings Karmo (Liberian) , on February 14th 1965. She was a devoted, loving, sacrificial and praying mother of four children—Zeze Reed, Edmond Reed, Fanmentus Wanki (Korlison) and Brenda Korlison—and the cherished grandmother of three grandsons and one granddaughter and a believer and Lover of Jesus Christ.
Fannie was known for her love for God, her four children, three grandchildren, friendliness, humor, and her deep love of being surrounded by people. A gifted cook, she shared her talent widely, catering weddings, birthdays, community events, and serving organizations such as the Invincible Eleven (Soccer Team) (I.E.), her friend/extended brother George Weah. Her passion for cooking was inspired by her beloved grandfather, Edmond “Teacher” Cummings, who taught her the skills she carried throughout her life, passing it down to her daughter Fanmentus affectionately called (Pokos).
Fannie will be remembered for her love for God, servanthood, warm heart, her laughter, and the joy she brought to every person who encountered her and every gathering she catered for. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will continue to live on in the lives of all who loved her including her children, grandchildren, siblings and countless friends and Colleagues.
She was called to be with the Lord on December 5,2025 in Maryland at her oldest daughter Fanmentus home. She leaves legacy of faith, strength, wisdom, love, laughter, generosity, and joyful spirit.
She is predeceased by her father Issac Roland Quaye, two siblings (mother side) one sibling
(father side). Fannie leaves to mourn and cherish her memories children Oldest to Youngest: Zeze Reed, Edmond Babu Reed, Fanmentus Akua Pokos Damawah Korlison (Wanki) and Brenda O. Korlison, Three Grandkids: Edmond Favor Reed Jr, Massagee Kunnue Reed, Kolubah Reed and one Grand daughter: Shavon Wanki
Aunt Catherine Freeman (Cummings) Cecil Franweah Frank Sr (Wife Angie ), Alexine Jewri Frank-Cooper (Franklin), Emmett Baysah Acquoi, Sr.(Nyan), and Charnelene B. White.
She leave behind siblings from mother: James T. Smith, Lawrence Cummings, Roseline Myers, Stanley Karmo Il, Dehcorti Karmo, Mynah Karmo and Garheyan Karmo. Also known siblings from father: Jerome Roland Quaye, Humphrey Quaye, Dr. Roland Quaye, Joyce Quaye, Cythnia Quaye, Linda Quaye, Emma Quaye, Florencia Quaye, Hubert Tetteh Quaye, Nicholas Quaye, Frank Quaye, Anaspus Quaye, Samuel Quaye, Marcus Quaye and Issac Quaye. Host of nieces, nephews ,cousins, closed friends other relatives residing in the United States, Liberia and Ghana.
