It is with deep sorrow that the Kemokai family announces the passing of our beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend — Samuel (Sam) V. Kemokai, who departed this life on October 10, 2025, in San Jose, California.
Sam was born on December 23, 1958, in Liberia. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, laughter , and unwavering love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons Samuel Kemokai Jr., Varney Kemokai, and Emmanuel Kemokai; his siblings Albert Kemokai, Sylvester Kemokai, Sally Kemokai, Jimmy Kemokai, and Mimmy Kemokai; and 7 grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
He was predeceased by his parents James P. Kemokai and Maria Kemokai, and his siblings Mariam Kemokai Selli and Zoe Kemokai.
Sam will be remembered as a devoted father, a loyal friend, and a man who carried his Liberian roots with pride. His life touched many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
