The Slueue Jones children are sad to announce the untimely death of our beloved father and brother Ernest Napoleon Slueue Jones Sr. He passed on September 11th, 2025 at Renaissance Hospital in Edinburg, Texas, USA.
Ernest was predeceased by his parents, Chao Slueue and Yuwar Seoo Slueue of Grand Gedeh County, Konobo district, Liberia, his sister Elizabeth Doe, and former wife, Mary N. Jones.
He is survived by, his children, Beatrice, Edward, Joan, Musu, Ernest Jr., Princess, Precious, and Wellington, and his step-child daughter, Munah J. Daniels. He is also survived by his long time girlfriend, Gertrude Cooper, who was his girlfriend while he was still married to the late Mary N. Jones and later became his wife of 39 years, and their children, Baiyannaiyee, Marvine, and their estranged son for the last 15 years, Uoryannoh. He is also survived by his siblings, Lucy Slueue, Arhzarh Slueue, Dixon Slueue and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ernest was a faithful worker for the Liberian telecommunications, for thirty plus years and the United States Postal Office for over twenty five years. He had a zest for life and was a hardworking, loving and gentle man. He had a great love for his children. He loved his family and his absence has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
