The Ricks, Marshall, and Dunna families announce the homegoing of their beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, nephew, cousin, and friend, Harold Africanus Ricks. The sorrowful event occurred on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Piedmont Eastside Hospital in Georgia.
Born in Monrovia, Liberia, Harold was predeceased by his mother, Emma Marshall Ricks; father, Henry Bonner Ricks, Sr.; his sister, Nora Ricks, and brothers, Napoleon Ricks, Henry “Shue” Ricks, Maxwell Ricks, and David Ricks.
Harold is survived by his four children: Napoleon “Solo” Ricks, Wilfred “Freddie” Ricks (Muna), Lango Ricks, and Chelsea Ricks (Oluwaseun), ex-wife, Meita Wheaton-Ricks; siblings, Albert Ricks (Ann), Mietta Ricks-Lamini, Florence Ricks-Somah, Joyce Ricks-Sonie, John Ricks (Judy), and Sarah King-Barclay; grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
