The Slueue, Jones, Cooper , Talery and Richards families are heartbroken to announce the untimely death of our beloved Patriarch , brother, husband and friend Ernest Napoleon Jones Sr. This sad event occurred September 11, 2025 at The Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas USA.

Ernest was predeceased by his parents Khao Slueue and Yuwar Seoo Slueue of Grand Gedeh County, Konobo district, Liberia, sister Elizabeth Doe, and former life partner Mary Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy, his devoted wife of forty two years Gertrude Cooper Jones. This union was blessed by three children Baiyannaiyee, Marvine Anastasia Zooe and Uoryannoh Lafayete Jones. Children; Beatrice, Edward, Joan ,Ernest Jr., Musu, Princess, Precious, Wellington and Virginia Jones. Children entrusted in his care; Munah Daniels , Grace Johnson and Aletha Campbell. Siblings: Lucy Slueue, Arhzarh Slueue, Dixon Slueue and a host of beloved grandchildren, nephews, nieces, friends and loved ones.

Ernest was a faithful worker of the Liberian telecommunications for thirty plus years and the United States Postal Office for twenty five plus years. He had a zest for life and was a hardworking, loving and gentle man. He loved his family and his absence has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
