HEAVEN HAS GAINED AN ANGEL.
The Flomo, Diggs , Cooper and Karmo Families announced the passing of our dearest and beloved mom, grandmom, sister, aunty, a great in-law, and a friend, Mrs. Cynthia Flumo Karmo . Ma Cynthia, CK, as she was affectionately call, was born to the union of the late Mr. and Mrs. Flomo in Vonjama, Lofa County, Liberia, West Africa. Where she earned her secondary and primary education.
Ma Cynthia earned her healthcare degree, as a midwife from the Miss Moore Institute; at which time she met the love of her life Mr. Albert Diggs; who took her to Buchana, Grand Bassa County. In Buchana, Ma Cynthia worked as a midwife, delivering many babies during the course of her career. She also worked with the Family Planning in Buchana, Grand Bassa County. Later, Ma Cynthia she was transfered from Grand Bassa County to Smell-No-Taste, Margibi county by the Family Planning Administration where she worked in her leadership role until the Liberian civil war.
Ma Cynthia moved to Houston, Texas, where she lived with her children for many years. As a sociable person she always had been in her life, she joined the Liberia Old Timer Organization(LOTAH) of Houston, a organization that bring together Liberian senior citizens living in the Houston, Texas area. She was a member until she moved back to Liberia.
Ma Cynthia is predecease in death by her parents, the love of her life Mr. Albert Diggs, her husband Mr. Amos Karmo, several brothers and sisters and a grandson.
Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother is survived by 6-children: Lawrence Dennis(Julia), Siehnal Diggs, Comfort Diggs-Cain(Martin), Viola Diggs, Patricia Diggs-Karlon(Pastor Karlon), Love Sematta Cooper and one adopted daughter Abigail Diggs, 40-grand children and 45 great grand children and two adopted grandchildren. She is also survived by several sisters and brothers in Liberia and overseas and host of other relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. OUR BELOVED MOM WILL BE MISSED.
Funeral will be held on November 1, 2025
Events will be held in Smell-No-Taste, Margibi County.
