The Bates, Urey, Tolbert and Seeward families announce with sadness the passing away of their sister, mother and aunt, Mrs. Martha Limkpank Bates. This sad event occurred on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in Careysburg city, Liberia after a protected illness.
Martha Limkpank Bates was survived by her husband, David Delano Bates (who pre-deceased her), her children- Ophelia, Davietta, Brenda and Delano Bates; her grandchildren: Ann, Annie, Alphonso, Etta, Teddy and Makiyah. She is also survived by her brothers, In-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Wake-keeping will be held on Saturday, September 27, at 9:30 – 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church in Careysburg city, Liberia.
Funeral service follows immediately after the wake and interment at the Bates cemetery in Careysburg city, Liberia.
