With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived, the Rashid, Brent, Davies, Njie, and families announce the transition of Ousainu (Ouse) Momodou Rashid. He expanded into spirit on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 4:54 am at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born on November 26, 1950, in Banjul, The Gambia, Ouse leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and faith. He is survived by his wife, Roberta, his beloved daughters, Ramatoulie and Fatima, his brother Hassan, his sister Mariama, and a large family of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and countless friends who cherished him.
Ouse was a proud and faithful member of the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, where he lived out his values of faith, compassion, and community. Known for his kind and giving heart, he was always checking in on others, offering wisdom, strength, and support wherever it was needed. His presence was a blessing, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
