With profound sorrow, the Moore, Taylor, Barnaby, and Gooding families announce the untimely passing of our beloved Winston Ayodele Moore, affectionately known as “Ayo.” This sad event took place on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Holy Cross Hospital in Germantown, Maryland.
He was preceded by his parents, Sarah Gooding Moore and Isaac Levitus Moore. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Chante Moore, and his son, Winston Ayodele Moore Jr.
Ayo is also survived by his siblings: Theresa Barnaby, Eunice Barnaby Clement (Kwaku), Oretha Barnaby Gonyon (Steve), Derelyn Barnaby Johnson (Hene), Patrick Barnaby (Miatta), Ian Taylor (Nancy), Precious Moore, Ophido Moore, and Rochelle Moore. He will be deeply missed by a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and relatives and friends both in the USA, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Ayo will be remembered as the “gentle giant” of our family. May his kind soul rest in eternal peace.
