It is with profound sadness that we announce the homegoing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Mrs. Korto Mama Kollie (Ma Korto). This sad event occurred after a period of illness in Monrovia, Liberia on Sunday, July 13th, 2025.
Ma Korto was born in Gorlue, Lofa County, and spent many cherished years as a resident of Gardnerville, Montserrado County, Liberia, as well as in Trenton, New Jersey, USA. A devoted mother, community leader, and faithful servant of God, she dedicated her life to her family, her community, and her church.
Her generosity knew no bounds, touching the lives of all who crossed her path. Whether in her hometown, throughout Liberia, or in the United States, Ma Korto’s kindness and compassion left a lasting impact.
Ma Korto leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Mr. John Flomo Kollie, her children, her grandchildren, brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to live on in all of us.
