It is with heavy hearts that the Davis, Trinity, Dennis, Fahnbulleh, and Jackson families announce the passing of our beloved Mr. THOMAS ELWOOD DAVIS Sr. , who went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, at 9:13 a.m. Eastern Standard Time in the USA, after a sudden illness. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who lived a life of love, grace, compassion and generosity.
Tom was born on August 7, 1959 and was a beloved member of our family and community. He was a shining example of what it means to live a life of faith, hope, and love. Tom touched the lives of so many people during his time on earth. He was a loving spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, and friend. His warm personality, and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Tom was a devout Christian and a member of Trinity Cathedral, The Episcopal Church of Liberia.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Matu Kumba Davis, son Pastor Thomas Elwood Davis, Jr. ; grandchildren, Christian Thomas Davis and Aisha K. Wilson daughter-in-law, Nasongae Brown Davis, all of the USA.
His siblings: Mrs. Gail Davis Cisco, of the USA, Mrs. Eudeen Davis Cooper and brother-in-law, Mr. Randolph Cooper, of Liberia; Ms. Edith Davis, of Liberia; Ms. Rosamond Davis, of the USA; Mr. Benjamin Davis and Mr. Eugene Davis of Liberia; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles: Mrs. Georgia Dennis Ross, Mrs. Bendu Dennis Hickson, Mrs. Danieletta George Doe, Mrs. Esther George, and Mr. E. Boima Fahnbulleh, of the USA, and a host of other relatives in the US, UK, Ghana, and around the world.
Our hearts ache with the knowledge that we will no longer be able to see him in this life, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
