Johnette Louise Hoff-Nelson

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

It is with a heavy heart that the Nelson, Hoff, Scott and Clarke Family announce with profound sadness the sudden homegoing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunty, cousin and niece, Mrs. Johnette Louise Hoff-Nelson. This sad event occurred on September 10, 2024, at the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Johnette was pre-deceased by her father, Philip Zechariah Hoff Sr., her mother, Johnette Louise Scott-Hoff, her sisters, Wilhelmina N. Hoff and Clarissa Hoff Jalloh.

Johnette leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Brakemi O. Nelson Sr., her children, Brakenette W. Nelson, Brakemi O. Nelson Jr., Johnette O. Nelson, her siblings, Alice Scott, Mabel Hoff Shorrow, Richelieu V. Hoff (Theo), Philip Z. Hoff Jr. (Pamela), Viola Hoff, Augustine O. Jalloh,  William N. Scott Jr. uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Johnette, Mama, Johnnie, J-Lou, Lou-Lou, School Girl, Aunty Johnette, Aunty Johnnie, Cousin Johnette as many called her lived a life full of love and laughter. Her smile would warm the room wherever she was. She spoke with kindness and comfort to whomever she came across. May her laughter and voice linger in our hearts forever as her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace.
