Funeral Announcement
The Cooper, Gibson and Lartey families wish to inform the general public that:
ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th, 2023, the remains of the late Former Chief Justice, His Honor, Cllr. Henry Reed Cooper will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Home at 3:30 PM and escorted to the Temple of Justice where he will lie in State from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Thereafter his remains will be escorted to the First United Methodist Church on Ashmun and Gurley Streets, for a wake-keeping from 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM.
ON SATURDAY, September 9th, 2023, funeral services will commence at the Centennial Pavilion at 9:30 AM. Following the funeral services, internment will take place at the James F. Cooper Farm in Margibi County, located on the Monrovia-Kakata Highway after Todee junction and before Kakata.
All sympathizers and well-wishers are requested to pay their tributes at the wake-keeping service on Friday. Please be informed that only a small selection of sympathizers, including the Government of Liberia, the United Methodist Church, and the Family of the Deceased, will give tributes during the funeral service on Saturday.
