The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. The Uso, Davis, Outland and Washington Family announces with deep sadness, but with gratitude to Almighty God, the home-going of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin Mr. Godwin Alvin Uso Sr. The Lord called Godwin home from labor to rest in Covington, Georgia on Saturday , May 3, 2025.
Godwin Sr. was predeceased by his parents, T. Douglas Uso and Phebe Outland-Uso, and his sisters, Florence O. Uso-Gbarbea and Rhodel Uso-Zulu. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Shanna, children, T. Douglas, Godwin, Jr., Alvianna, Danielle and Allie Underwood; siblings, Joseph Graham, Jeanette Uso-Obetsebi Lamptey, Shirley and Precious; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives.
