The Vah, Harris, Johnson, Knowlden, and Melton families, with profound sadness, announce the peaceful passing of a Patriarch, Elder William Lamie Vah, at the Good Samaritan Home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

He leaves to mourn his loss his children, Carl D. Vah (Liberia), Vivien Vah (Liberia), Wilhelmina Vah Melton Keita (USA), Nelli Mai Vah-Arthur (Ghana), James Wreah (Liberia); His grandchildren, Catherine Melton, Alvin Jay Melton, Philip Melton, Laurina Melton, Irene Vah, Solomon Vah, Melvin R. Summerville, Nixon J. Arthur, and Aba Arthur; five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives in the USA, Buchanan, Monrovia, Sweden, Canada, Switzerland, and other parts of the world.
Elder Vah was predeceased by his sons, William Lamie Vah Jr. and Horatio Vah, in Liberia. Elder Vah trained many students and professionals in electronics throughout his life. He was a high school teacher at Konola Academy, later an electronics instructor at the Booker Washington Institute (BWI), ELBC National Radio and TV Station known as LBS today, and the Wallenberg Training Center at LAMCO in Buchanan, Liberia, before migrating to the United States. He served faithfully as an Elder in the Seventh-day Adventist church both in Liberia and the United States. He will truly be missed and remembered for the many contributions he made from the training and services he rendered.
