With profound regrets, the Johnson, Jones, Shannon and Thomas Families announce the homegoing of Dr. George Nyu Johnson. This sad event occurred on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, in Anrath Village, Germany. He was a renown Orthopedic Surgeon, practicing in Germany where he lived for many years.
Dr. George Johnson, “Bor – Nyu”, as he was affectionately called, leaves to mourn his death and cherish his precious memories, his darling devoted wife, Marietta Johnson, three children, Emmanuel Johnson (Julia), Grace Johnson (Frank), and Nyeba Johnson; nine grandchildren, Marvin, Marla, Marc, Reggie, Abigail, Nyu, Comfort, Julian, Grace, and six great grandchildren.
Also mourning his loss are his seven siblings: Lucille Nyeba Johnson Wolo, Beatrix Nmano Johnson Helb, Clarisa Weade Johnson Sherman (Fonie), Violet Nyentia Johnson Karneh, Magdalene Bledio Johnson Hanson (Aloysius), Martin Nyema Johnson, Valerie Comfort Puate Johnson, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends in the United States, Canada, Liberia and Germany.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, Gray Wode Gyedate and Comfort Nwane Johnson; his brothers Dr. A.E. Nyema Jones and Carroll Hna Johnson; his sisters Nora Siede Johnson, Nanette Johnson Travell, Josephine Johnson, Winifred Johnson and Oretha Johnson Tidoe.
The passing of our beloved Dr. George Nyu Johnson has left a void in the lives of all who were fortunate to have known him. May his soul rest in perfect peace and light perpetual shine upon him.
Funeral Service for Dr. George Nyu Johnson will take place on Saturday, June 22nd in Anrath Village, Germany.
