
It is with profound regret that we the Venneh family of Badazu, Lofa County, along with the George and Roberts families announce the homegoing of our beloved father and family patriarch, Mr. Daniel Flomo Fumbah, Sr. who departed this life after a brief illness on July 26, 2025 at the ELWA Hospital, Paynesville City.
Daniel, Daddy, Uncle Daniel as he was affectionately called was a longtime resident of the Outland Community, Paynesville City. He was a career employee of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA), where he served as regional forester, Supervising Grand Gedeh, Sinoe and Maryland Countries in the 1970s, while residing in Zedru. He obtained his secondary education from the Habel Public School and the Booker Washington Institute (BWI); his undergraduate degree from the University of Liberia, College of Agriculture and Forestry, followed by a graduate degree in forestry management from the Australian National University, Canberra Australia. He served as managing director for FDA Pulpwood Plantation in Zarwat, Grand Cape Mount County, before retiring in the 1990s..
Daniel Fumbah is being remembered by his children (Jenebah Fumbah Yeebahn, Augustine B. Fumbah, Salleah B. Fumbah, Saybah Fumbah Duyan, Taye Fumbah, Daniel F. Fumbah, Jr., Chanetta Y. Fumbah Dweh, Jeremiah Fumbah, Ben W. Fumbah, Yangah T. Fumbah); Twenty-two (22) grandchildren, and seven (7) great grand children; sisters: Ma Suah Roberts, Mama Roberts of Liberia, and Korto Yekeh and Gloria Fumbah Taylor of USA; nephews and nieces and host of other relatives in the United States and Liberia,
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Yangah Esther George Fumbah, his children (Velmah Tete Fumbah, Nyamma T. Fumbah Woinewala, and Kesselly Fumbah), and many siblings.
He was a member of the Victory Temple United Church of God In Christ, Paynesville City, Liberia. May his soul and the souls of the faithfully departed rest in perpetual peace. Amen.
