“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-4)
The Toh-Blidi, Yancy, Togba and Neufville families sadly announce the passing of our matriarch, Agnes Blidi Bonyenoh Toh, affectionately called CeCe Bonyenoh. She transitioned peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024, in her 97th year, at the Northside Gwinnett Hospital, Lawrenceville, Georgia. CeCe Bonyenoh was a woman of faith, who loved the Lord, loved people, and loved to celebrate life. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and a mediator to friends and family that encountered her. She was a devoted and faithful member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia, until her demise.
Her parents, Joseph and Agatha Blidi-Toh, her four sons: Manfield, Zulu, Jonathan, Roland, and her siblings, Lawrence Blidi, Margaret Muna Blidi, Bernard Jobo Toh and Bofor Francis Toh all predeceased her.
She leaves to mourn her loss, and cherish her memories her only surviving sister, Theresa Blidi-Toh, sisters-in-law Rose Blidi and Theresa Toh. She also leaves her seven sons: Josiah, Charles, Paul (Julia), Richard (Miatta), Amos (Agatha), Michael (Garmai), and Daniel. She also leaves her six daughters: Helen Aquah, Ora Collier (Arthur), Kamah Ward (Calvin), Nanah Yancy, Elizabeth Yeedia (John), Mercie Yancy St Cloud (Frantz), and four daughters-in-law, Madeleine Yancy, Elizabeth Yancy, Victoria Yancy, and Elizabeth Carr Yancy. In addition, she leaves ninety-six grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends.
Ma, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great grandma, we will always miss you; your memory will remain with us forever. We love you, but God loves you more. We celebrate your life and may your soul rest in perfect peace, and light perpetual shine upon you.
