It is with great sadness that the Watson, Gbanya, Massally, Freeman, Seton Families and the Liberian Community of Illinois announce the sudden death of our beloved brother, father and uncle, Anthony D. Watson. This sad event occurred on November 22, 2025, at his home in Chicago, Illinois. Uncle Tony (Dou) as he is commonly called, leaves to mourn his passing, his 3 children: Dr. Toni Watson, Anthony Emmett Watson and Keenie Johnson, his siblings; Musu Bernard, Massa Gbanya and Ayodele Watson, several nieces, nephews, cousins as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife (Stephanie Finch Watson), father (Edward G. Watson), mother (Maima Massally Gbanya), his siblings (Theresa T. Dukuly, Louise Musu Teage, Kamara Watson and Albert B Gbanya).
