With deepest sorrow and immense sadness, the Jones and Juwle families announce the untimely passing of Mrs. Helena Jones, devoted wife, beloved mother, caring grandmother, doting great grandmother, affectionate sister, supportive aunt, and trusted friend, who departed this life suddenly on February 20, 2025. Sis. Helena, as she was affectionately called, was an exceptional woman, known for her generosity, unwavering love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. Gabriel Tarplah Juwle and Mrs. Sarah Wrehdi Juwle and her brother, Mr. Tarcisius Juwle.
Helena was married to her beloved husband, Mr. Alfred N. Jones, for 51 wonderful years. Together they cultivated a beautiful family, filled with love and support for those they interacted with. She is survived by her siblings, Margaret Tenneh Juwle, Gladys Boryenoh Juwle, Frances Juwle Chenoweth (William), Catherine Faladi Juwle, Maude Juwle Morgan (Reese), Mary Snami Juwle, Eliza Boryenoh Juwle (Charles), Cecelia Wleyenon Juwle, Pius Koffa Juwle (Sarah), Jacqueline Koffadi Juwle and Agatha Torpor Mikulu (Jean Baptiste), her cherished children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends, across the United States, Liberia, Europe, and beyond.
Her spirit, compassion, and love will always hold an irreplaceable place in our hearts, and although she is no longer with us, we are comforted in knowing that she is now resting in a place of peace and everlasting light. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral services for Mrs. Helena Jones will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Glassboro, 103 Grove St, Glassboro, NJ 08028, and interment will follow, thereafter.
May she rest in everlasting serenity and may eternal radiance shine on her.
